You can merge any Salesforce object data and it's related object data. E.g. If you want to pull the account name from the account object then you have to just type the {!Account.Name}(this you will get from the template builder) in your Google Docs.
Built-in template builder will help the you to generate the merge field. E.g. If you wants to merge the account name from the account object then in the template builder you have to select the account object and name field.
